The Adjustoveyor was invented by Charles T. Stewart, Sr., founder of Stewart Glapat Corporation in 1946. Its first application was for distributing chemicals into a furnace for melted glass.

What is the largest Adjustveyor?

The longest standard model is the model 3095T which extends to an overall length of 95 feet with 65 feet of cantilevered extension from its three booms. The Adjustoveyor also comes in designs featured from one to five telescoping booms and all belt widths.

What is the load rating?

The Adjustoveyor will handle 100 pounds per lineal foot in its models of 2065T and below and is rated at 65 pounds per lineal foot for all longer models.

Where does the belt go when the booms extend and retract?

The belt is continuous and fixed length. The belt weaves among all the booms and fixed section and makes a forward and rearward path through each boom and fixed section.

How do the telescoping booms move in synchronized motion?

Each boom is moved by two chains that move over sprockets and are attached to anchors on other booms and the fixed section. A jackshaft is rotated by the boom drive gear motor and this motion causes the largest boom to extend or retract. Linkages throughout the boom system create subsequent proportional movements of all the smaller booms.

Why are structural steel channels used for the fabrication of the Adjustoveyor?

Structural steel channels provide the required resistance to bending and reduce any side-sway of the extended booms that could complicate effective belt tracking.

What is the useful life of an Adjustoveyor?

The life of any piece of equipment depends on the operating environment, applied loads, hours of operation, and the application of effective preventative maintenance programs. Numerous Adjustoveyors have been in continuous service well over thirty years.

Is the Adjustoveyor easy to maintain?

Each Adjustoveyor comes with a detailed Operations and Maintenance Manual and prescribed maintenance schedules. All adjustments can be easily made from outside the unit and access windows are available to reach any internal parts and assemblies.

What options are available?

Fixed base means lagged to the concrete dock at one fixed location.

Self-Propelled means mounted on four wheels to traverse on steel track from door to door.

Hydraulic Lift means using two hydraulic cylinders to lift the front end of the Adjustoveyor to match working heights in the trailer.

Caster Base means mounted on four casters with appropriate counterweight so the Adjustoveyor can be moved around the dock.

Ancillary Conveyors can be attached, such as Stackers on the foremost boom, Pig-Tail Conveyors at the rear, and Incline/Decline Conveyors with Pre-Incline Sections.
